OSHL PROSPECTS GAME

The OSHL is excited to announce, for the 1st time ever, the OSHL Prospects game!!

This game will take place the Sunday (Jan 31st, 11am @ the Sportsdome) before the tournament (and the day before the player draft lottery). The purpose of this game is to allow our 12 GM's the opportunity to see some of the players they are unfamiliar with in action. An emphasis will be put on 1st year players (to the OSHL) as well as other players the GM's have nominated. Players in this game will be by invite only.

We plan on asking specific players by this weekend, whether or not they will be able to come out for the game. So if you are a first year player, or a player who has not had a lot of exposure in the OSHL, you will most likely be asked. We have room for 30 players and about 4 goaltenders.

The game itself will be an hour long, and in 5-on-5 format.

For those invited, this will be a chance to raise your stock...lower your stock...or just get some much needed exercise...

HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS
This is a full draft tourney, so when you sign up you be put into a draft
Pool with 84 players (12 goalies and 72 players) come draft night your life time dream will come true as one of the 12 GMs will call out your name and that will be the country you will represent. Goalies will be drafted separately before the big draft night

FORMAT
12 teams total, divided into 3 pools of 4 teams. Each team plays the teams in their pool once. Top two teams in each pool advance to the playoffs 1-6, plus two wildcard teams make up 7th and 8th seeds

Playoffs are single elimination. The entire tournament is played on the Saturday. (3-6 games)

Games are two 15 min run time halves just like play on. Each team has 7 runners plus goalie.

Winning team will get to keep there jerseys, will also get an OSHL medal and name put on the legacy cup....Forever!!!
